Statistical Analyst

Job Summary

As an experienced Statistical Analyst, you will apply your expertise to help drive our business strategy, provide key insights into critical business challenges, and assess new business opportunities that impact the bottom-line. This will all be done in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment where management values your insights, encourages you to take ownership, and rewards innovation.

You will be the go-to person to answer business questions and the last person before we make a critical business decision. Our success will depend on the analytics team to find patterns and trends within our unique data set that helps us either invest more resources or quickly move in a new direction.  The business impact from our insights will not only be driven by questions from key stakeholders but also from your proactive curiosity to grow the business.

Job Duties:

  • Work with internal partners to assess business needs and transform them into meaningful observations by selecting optimal analytic technique(s) to pull the appropriate data elements.
  • Summarize and present analyses/models to audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior management.
  • Use classification, predictive class models to understand customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Conduct ad-hoc data mining and analysis to provide customer profiling, behavioral analysis, and performance assessment.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and software development teams to develop tracking elements necessary to effectively measure program response.

Experience we are looking for:

  • MS in statistics with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL with ability to design and execute advanced database queries to answer business questions.
  • Proven command of statistical tools such as R and/or Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and\or MS Power BI a plus.
  • Proficiency in data transformation, consolidating data from disparate sources, into data visualization of analytic findings.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills to manage workload and meet necessary timelines.
  • Candidate should be detail oriented, self-motivated, and an excellent creative problem solver, with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple, disparate streams of work in a challenging, dynamic environment.
