Alexander C. Kemper – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Sandy is the founder of C2FO and serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of The Collectors Fund, a private equity fund focused on alternative asset classes. Prior to founding The Collectors Fund and C2FO, Sandy founded Perfect Commerce (fka and served as the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2000-06. Prior to founding Perfect Commerce, he served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of UMB Bank and CEO of UMB Financial, a NASDAQ traded financial services company more than $20 billion in assets. Sandy began his career with UMB after graduating from Northwestern University in 1987. He majored in American History. Sandy is an active angel and venture investor and serves on the corporate boards of UMB Financial (NASDAQ: UMBF), UMB Bank, NIC (NASDAQ: EGOV), and AXA Art USA (NYSE: AXA). He previously served on the board of Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe) and BATS Exchange, two of the largest stock exchanges in the world. Sandy and his family are active in academic, civic and philanthropic endeavors. He serves on the board of the Agriculture Future of America (AFA), a non-profit scholarship and leadership development organization that he co-founded. Sandy and his family live on a farm in Kansas City, Mo., where they raise and care for their horses, sheep and any and all wild animals (not including their four children).

Sanjay Gupta – President and Chief Operating Officer

Sanjay leads business operations for C2FO, focusing on global marketing, growing supplier engagement and programmatic onboarding of all corporate buyers. He brings more than 20 years of P&L, marketing and account management leadership experience to the C2FO team. He has led B2B and SMB efforts for Sprint, Network Solutions and Groupon. He has a B.S. in Economics, an MBA in Marketing/Finance and an M.S. in Communications. Sanjay resides in Overland Park, Kan., with his wife, two kids and a puppy.

Kerri Thurston – Chief Financial Officer

Kerri leads the accounting, finance and human resource functions, which includes management of compliance and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and investor relations. She is also a member of the C2FO executive committee. As C2FO continues to expand worldwide, Kerri focuses on strategic growth initiatives and cost-saving strategies. Kerri’s 20 years of financial expertise have spanned a broad spectrum of functional areas. Prior to C2FO, she served as the global controller for Garmin, an S&P 500 technology company, with a strategic focus on global growth initiatives and cost efficiencies. Previous roles have included treasury, risk management, SEC reporting, and decision support. Outside of the office, Kerri keeps the ship afloat for her husband and three busy children while still making time for work with local non-profits, including WIN for KC and MOCSA.

Jerod Laughlin – Chief Marketing Officer

Jerod leads global marketing for C2FO and is responsible for driving revenue growth and increased engagement across our customer base. He brings 20+ years of experience to the team in global brand development, digital marketing, and omni channel media execution within the financial services space. Previously, Jerod served as VP, U.S. Head of Marketing for Funding Circle where he combined the science of client-centric marketing with the art of brand and digital communications to drive record growth for its U.S. business. He has also held key leadership positions at H&R Block, PNC Financial Services, Bank of America, and USAA. Jerod studied Communications at Sam Houston State University and has relocated himself, his wife, and young son back to Kansas. Outside of the office, he enjoys barbecuing and exploring the world either underwater or on a motorcycle.

John Young – Chief Data Officer

John is responsible for C2FO’s end to end data solutions, focusing on data architecture, data & machine learning science, business analytics, and overall data strategy. John brings 18+ years of experience building new products and services across multiple industries, with a strong knowledge base in distributed systems, parallel computing, and data monetization. Key tenants for him are data integration, business optimization, and market innovation. John spent the last several years building out and deploying the Big Data environment DST, including data engineering, data & ML science, and operations groups to support DST’s financial services and healthcare sectors. He has worked in Anti-Spam, Ad Tech, Market Research, Direct Mail Coops, and Marketing Decisions Platform, supporting large brands like Samsung, Motorola, Almay, and General Mills to name a few. John has a PhD in Applied Statistics, MS in Statistics, and BS in Psychology & Mathematics. He resides in Overland Park KS with his wife and two kids.

Kevin Daniels – Chief Product Officer

Kevin is responsible for setting and driving the C2FO platform product vision. Kevin brings 18+ years of high-tech experience to the team, and a strong track record of leadership roles in successful companies, including Mass Relevance, Bazaarvoice, and SportsMEDIA Technology Corporation, where he won two Emmy awards. He has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Duke University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Transplants from Austin, Tex., Kevin, his wife, and children enjoy experiencing all that Kansas City has to offer.

John Christopher – Chief Technical Officer

As the first C2FO employee, John has helped build the C2FO system from the ground up and continues to ensure C2FO engineering teams are delivering the C2FO vision in a timely and scalable manner. John has 15+ years of technical experience, ranging from military weather applications to online auction platforms. John was a weather forecaster in the U.S. Navy and still enjoys talking weather. John holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science. John, his wife and four kids reside in the metro Kansas City area.

Pete Thomas – Chief Innovation Officer

Pete is the co-founder at C2FO and from his technical focus, continues to guide the evolution of the company’s software platform by applying his more than 10 years of experience building and maintaining large-scale transactional web applications. Prior to joining C2FO, Pete worked as a senior engineer for Impart Media, deploying digital advertising products. He previously was a consultant for Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and a developer in’s Enterprise Websites division. Pete, his wife and son reside in Seattle, Wa., where they try to keep a steady practice of Bikram Yoga.

Dru Shiner – Chief Sales Officer

Dru has more than 20 years of experience working with Fortune 1000 customers to maximize the value of their strategic technology investments. Including Siebel, Oracle, SAP and As Chief Sales Officer, Dru oversees the global business development team and strategic partnerships for C2FO. His unrelenting drive for delivering on customer goals and objectives is grounded in his background as a CPA, which keeps him laser-focused on delivering quantifiable value. He specializes in building teams known for their thought leadership, collaboration and long-term commitment to the success of their customers. Dru is on the Board of Directors for Mission Adelante, a local organization that supports immigrants coming to the United States. A lifelong Kansas City resident, he spends most of his free time with his family and enjoys the outdoors, hunting whenever possible.

Paul Lundy – SVP AMER

As Sr. Vice President, Paul is responsible for North American business development and sales strategy. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in rapid growth technology companies, he is passionate about ensuring customers achieve or exceed the value expected from their strategic technology investment. His success in building and leading high world-class teams stems from his varied and diverse background in systems, technology, services, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to C2FO, Paul led teams at Lexmark Enterprise Software (formerly Perceptive Software) and Xerox. Paul holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Summa Cum Laude. He is a transplanted New Yorker that lives in Leawood, KS with his wife and enjoys golfing and riding his Harley.

Colin Sharp – SVP EMEA

Colin serves as SVP EMEA for C2FO and is a member of the executive committee. He is responsible for the continued expansion and growth of the company in the region, focusing on the success of C2FO customers. Colin has a strong track record with more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise software industry and leadership positions in some of the world’s most respected organizations. Prior to C2FO, Colin spent six years at SAP in EMEA sales leadership roles and is responsible for some of SAP’s high-growth solutions. He also served as a member of the SAP UKI Executive Board. Colin holds a B.Eng in Engineering and a M.S. in Computing. Colin, his wife and two children reside just outside of London.


Pradeep Gode – SVP India

As a founding member of C2FO in India, Pradeep oversees business development, strategic partnerships and customer success in the region. He brings to the team 20 years of experience in technology, financial services and investing across the United States, Europe and India. Prior to C2FO, Pradeep oversaw investment activities in India for a global private equity firm, Black River. He has held several roles in financial services at Deutsche Bank and ran his own advisory business. Early in his career, Pradeep held technical roles within enterprise software during his time at Infosys and Epiphany. Pradeep holds a MBA from Kellogg School of Management, a Masters in Engineering Management from Northwestern University and earned his Bachelors degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Pradeep, his wife and son reside in Mumbai where he enjoys practicing iyengar yoga.

Max Zhang – SVP Greater China

As Senior Vice President, Greater China at C2FO, Max is responsible for the continued growth of customers and markets in the region. He has a strong track record of working within multi-national enterprises to devise strategies that mitigate risk and improve financial performance. Prior to C2FO, Max held various leadership roles within Microsoft and served as a key member of the China Enterprise Commercial Leadership team. In this role, he led teams across regions, including services and support functions, to drive key organizational initiatives centered around profitability in the region. In addition, Max served as the Sales Leader of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the north region of China, responsible for driving the strategic cooperation between Microsoft and China SOEs. Before Microsoft, Max held technical background roles within the finance industry during his time at Digital China and Hewlett Packard. Max holds a Bachelors of Business Information Technology from Coventry University. He lives in Beijing, China with his wife and two lovely daughters.

John Buttrick

John is a partner at Union Square Ventures, which is based in New York. He manages the firm’s later stage fund, Union Square Ventures Opportunity Fund and led the firm’s investment in Lending Club. He also focuses on earlier stage investments in the financial sector. John began his career as a lawyer and practiced from 1985 to 2000. From 2000-2004, John was a partner at LiveWire Ventures, a private equity firm which acquired mid-sized enterprise software companies servicing the telecommunications, media and utilities industries. From 2004-2010, John was involved in a number of start-up ventures as an investor, director, managing member and consultant. John has also served on the board of directors of Agfa-Gevaert N.V. and is currently board chair of Environmental Advocates of New York and Hirondelle USA. John majored in American Studies at Northwestern University and has a JD degree from Villanova University School of Law.

Richard Chino

Richard spent 4 years as the Chief Revenue Officer at (part of MeziMedia which was acquired by ValueClick in July 2007) focusing on driving traffic to the site through search marketing. During his time, experienced revenue growth of over 3,000%, and in 2006, the site was named by ComScore to have the second largest exposure of search ad impressions in the US. Prior to, Richard spent 7 years with Yahoo Search Marketing (previously / Overture). At, Richard started as the first Product Manager and spent his last 5 years as VP of Business Operations, overseeing the business metrics and leading analyses to provide insight and recommendations to the executive team, ultimately producing more than $1 Billion in incremental revenues. Richard has both an MBA and a Masters of Engineering Management from Northwestern University and a BA in Economics and Accounting and Mathematics from Claremont McKenna College.

Ajay Royan, Mithril

Ajay is founder and managing general partner of Mithril, a global technology investment firm based in San Francisco that focuses on growth-stage investments. Drawing on his successful experience investing in tech-enabled growth, as well as insights from technology, macro, and finance, Ajay provides strategic advice and builds cross-industry partnerships through board-level involvement in Mithril’s portfolio companies. Before forming Mithril, Ajay held leadership positions at Clarium Capital Management and Braxton Associates, a unit of Deloitte. Ajay is frequently invited to speak publicly on technology investment in such public fora as Bloomberg, CNBC, the Financial Times, and The Wall Street Journal; has been a guest lecturer on macro investing at Yale University; and has served as a participant in the Hoover Institution’s Working Group on Global Markets and as one of the Churchill Club’s Tech Trend experts. Ajay serves on the external advisory board of the University of Michigan’s Risk Science Center and on the board of the Thiel Foundation. Ajay was educated at Yale University.

William D. Zollars

Bill most recently served as Chairman, President and CEO of Yellow Roadway Corporation for 12 years, one of the largest less-than-truckload carriers in the United States. Prior to taking Yellow Roadway’s top position, Mr. Zollars was President of its subsidiary Yellow Transportation, Inc., a position he had held since 1996, when the company underwent a major management transition. Before joining Yellow, Mr. Zollars was Senior Vice President of Ryder Integrated Logistics, a $1.5 billion division of Miami-based truck rental and leasing company Ryder System, Inc. Mr. Zollars also spent 24 years in various executive positions at Eastman Kodak, including assignments in London, Toronto and Tokyo. He serves on the boards of Cigna, Cerner Corporation, ProLogis Trust, The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and United Way of Greater KC . Bill has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Pradyumna Agrawal

As Director, Investment at Temasek, Prady focuses on investments in the financial institutions sector, including banking, insurance, market structure and financial technology, in the Americas, Asia Pacific and MENA. Prior to joining Temasek, Prady worked with Morgan Stanley’s Asia Pacific Financial Institutions Group based out of Singapore. He started his career in Mumbai with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. Prady qualified as a Chartered Accountant in India and has an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad.

Chris Dark

Prior to advising C2FO, Chris held key leadership positions at Atomico, AOL ( and Bain & Co. where he focused on the development, deployment and commercialization of new products and operational improvement and high-level strategy across several diverse industries. In addition, Chris is a former entrepreneur and the founder of, an early eSports community founded in 2002. Chris holds a First Class master’s degree in Materials Science, and a Ph.D. in High Temperature Superconductors, both from Oxford University. Chris, his wife and son reside in Hong Kong. They enjoy entertaining friends (with hopefully great hospitality).

Joe Ratterman

Mr. Ratterman helped found Bats Global Markets in 2005, and served as Chief Executive Officer from June 2007 until March 2015, retaining the role of Chairman until the company’s merger with CBOE Holdings in 2017. Mr. Ratterman remains active in the securities industry as a director on the CBOE public board as well as a member of the SEC’s Equity Market Structure Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Bats, Mr. Ratterman was vice president of business development at Tradebot Systems. Previously, he was chief information officer at LabOne, the Lenexa-based health screening and diagnostic testing company now owned by Quest Diagnostics. Before joining LabOne, Mr. Ratterman was chief technology officer at Bridge Information Systems, where he was employed from 1990 to 2002. An accomplished water skier, rock climber, track and distance runner, professional photographer and type-rated ATP commercial pilot, Mr. Ratterman holds a degree in mathematics and computer science from Central Missouri State University, as well as Series 7, 24, 27, 55 and 66 licenses. Mr. Ratterman and his wife Sandy are founders and operators of two charities in Kansas City – “Hope in the Streets,” which provides the homeless with food and other necessities and the “Worship Wagon,” offering a weekly church service to the homeless. He is also the current Board President and a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight Central, a charitable aviation organization that provides free medical and humanitarian flights for people in need across the country.

Andy Nash

Andy is an international Finance and Corporate strategy professional experienced in restructuring, crisis management, and M&A. Most recently, he was SVP for Finance Transformation and earlier Group Treasurer at Royal Ahold Delhaize where he covered all areas of Corporate Finance and M&A, developed new capital structure and dividend policies, balance surplus cash to support business growth, reducing debt and increasing shareholder returns. He also held executive roles at the Mulliez Family Office, IKEA, JP Morgan and Price Waterhouse.

David G. Brown

David is a venture capital and private equity investor. He is the Managing Partner of Oak Hill Venture Partners and a Vice President of Keystone, LP (formerly known as the Robert M. Bass Company). David has invested in more than 45 companies and funds since 1993. He is a founding investor and currently serves on the board of directors of five private companies. He possesses broad experience in social media, software, communications, financial services and clean technology markets. David is also active in a number of charities and non-profit organizations. He serves on the board of Bowdoin College and NatureBridge. David holds a B.A. degree from Bowdoin College and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration.

Jason Bristow

Jason is a business executive with more than 20 years’ experience in large multi-national organizations as well as smaller, venture-backed enterprises. With a focus in operational accounting and finance, Jason has a proven track record in P&L and balance sheet management, achieving success for international organizations and businesses operating in challenging, high-growth environments. Jason has served as the CFO of Code42 and as the Vice President Finance & Treasurer at Amazon before managing treasury and financial planning and analysis at GE and Campbell’s.

Jeff Snyderman

Jeff has served in business finance, accounting operations, and global process roles for Fortune 500 companies, including Toys“R”Us, Liz Claiborne, Saks Fifth Avenue and PricewaterhouseCoopers. His experience within these companies focused on planning and analysis, and global outsourcing management, which requires the identification of new business opportunities, as well as vendor evaluations and negotiations, contract reviews, and management of process transitions. Jeff has worked closely with suppliers to analyze and negotiate payment terms that led to positive relationships between the organization and its supplier base. Jeff’s leadership and financial analysis skills also led to the delivery of a successful global expansion initiative in shared services while at Toys“R”Us. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The State University of New York at Binghamton and received his MBA from The Stern School of Business at New York University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Matt Truman

Matt is CEO and co-founder of True, a consumer investment firm that includes its own proprietary innovation hub, itself boasting strategic partnerships with some of the world’s leading retail and consumer companies. Matt has been involved in the retail and consumer sector for 16 years. He began his career at Deloitte and afterwards joined Lehman Brothers, where he became Head of Retail. He subsequently joined JP Morgan where he led the European retail franchise. Over his 13 year career in London, Matt advised a collection of the largest and most disruptive retailers in the world. He co-founded True in 2008, initially as a private investment vehicle to build and ultimately realise his own e-commerce business in his spare time which sold product to more than 70 countries at exit, before launching the business full time in 2013. True is currently investing from its second institutional fund and joins C2FO as an advisor to help accelerate C2FO’s path into the boardrooms of the world’s leading retail and consumer companies as well as provide strategic advice to the operating board. Matt graduated from the University of London with a 1st class degree in business and economics.

Brian McClendon

Brian McClendon is a software designer, developer, engineer, advisor for Firebrand Ventures, and a research professor at the University of Kansas. Previously, Brian spent two years at Uber, leading their Maps and Business Platform efforts. For 10 years prior, Brian was a Vice President with Google and led the entire Geo business unit including Google Maps, Street View, and Google Earth. He was a co-founder and angel investor in Keyhole, Inc., a geospatial data visualization company that was purchased by Google in 2004, which led to Google Earth. Brian grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in electrical engineering. Brian maintains close ties with the university, serving on advisory boards for both the School of Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and serving as a Trustee for the KU Endowment. In 2007, he and his wife, Beth McClendon, established the McClendon Engineering Scholarship at the university.

Montek Singh Ahluwalia

Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Indian economist and civil servant who was the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of the Republic of India, has been a key figure in the Indian economic reform process. At the age of 28, he became the youngest “Division Chief” in the World Bank’s bureaucracy, in charge of the Income Distribution Division in the World Bank’s Development Research Centre. He returned to India to take up the position of Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Finance, and later held several senior positions as a civil servant, including Special Secretary to the Prime Minister, Commerce Secretary, Secretary Department of Economic Affairs in the Finance Ministry, and Finance Secretary. In 1998 he was appointed Member of the Planning Commission, and in 2001, was chosen by the Board of the International Monetary Fund to be the first director of the newly created Independent Evaluation Office. In June 2004, he resigned from the IMF position to become the deputy chairman of the Planning Commission as part of the United Progressive Alliance government in New Delhi, a position he held until 2014. Mr. Ahluwalia has a BA Honours Degree in Economics from Delhi University and an MA and MPhil degrees from Oxford. In his spare time, he enjoys reading history, playing golf, and traveling with his wife, Isher Ahluwalia, who is also an economist.

Jeff Hurst

Jeff Hurst is Waystar’s EVP for Client Success. Waystar provides premier technology solutions to help healthcare clients optimize revenue cycle performance. Waystar has been ranked #1 by KLAS since 2010 and has received multiple #1 rankings by Black Book since 2012. In his role with Waystar, Jeff is focused on overall client success and satisfaction for Waystar’s 22K+ clients, including 750+ health systems and hospitals, 5K+ health plans, and 450K providers. Prior to joining Waystar, Jeff was SVP for Revenue Cycle Management and President of RevWorks at Cerner Corporation, where he had executive responsibilities for Cerner’s full portfolio of revenue cycle solutions and services offerings. He also worked 19 years at Florida Hospital (Adventist Health System), where he served in a variety of roles, including SVP / Senior Finance Officer, VP, Revenue Cycle Management, and Director, Patient Financial Services. In addition to 23 years in the healthcare industry, Jeff also served 10 years in the United States Air Force as a Russian linguist. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his MBA from Creighton University.


C2FO is the official dynamic discounting partner of Citi, a leading global bank. C2FO and Citi have partnered to offer an end-to-end trade finance solution that includes Dynamic Discounting, amongst a suite of other bank provided payables solutions. Citi selected C2FO after extensive analysis on dynamic discounting providers. Together, Citi and C2FO help global clients better manage their working capital and optimize liquidity in a holistic fashion.

Fifth Third Bank

Fifth Third Bank will provide corporations with a more comprehensive mix of working capital solutions through the C2FO partnership.

Fifth Third Bank is a diversified financial services company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Company has $126 billion in assets and operates four main businesses including Commercial Banking, Branch Banking, Consumer Lending and Investment Advisors. As part of the agreement, C2FO will collaborate with the Fifth Third Bank team to offer a unique working capital solution to Fifth Third clients.


Tradeshift, the fastest growing supplier collaboration platform and C2FO, the largest market for working capital have formed a strategic partnership to expand dynamic discounting solutions to a broader network of suppliers and buyers. The partnership will provide more suppliers access to the C2FO working capital market to improve cash flow and allow more buyers to increase EBITDA by paying their suppliers early.
